Do your elements fit Skutt, L&L, Paragon, and other popular kiln brands?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We wind replacement elements for Skutt (KM and KS series), L&L Easy-Fire and DaVinci kilns, Paragon Industries, Olympic, ConeArt, Cress, and many other brands. If your make and model isn't listed on our site, contact us — we can almost always match factory specs from the kiln nameplate or from an existing element.

Can I order a single replacement element, or do I need a full set?

You can order however many you need — one element, a few, or a complete set. That said, we recommend replacing the full set at once. Elements in a kiln age together, so when one fails, the others usually have similar wear and are likely to follow soon. A full replacement also ensures balanced firing across all sections.

What voltage elements do you wind — 240V or 208V?

Both. Most North American studio kilns run on either 240V single-phase or 208V three-phase power. The two voltages require different resistance values — using the wrong element will cause under- or over-firing. Let us know your supply voltage (check your breaker panel or kiln nameplate) and we'll wind to the correct specification.

How do I measure my existing heating element?

For an accurate replacement, the most useful measurements are the wire gauge (thickness), the coil outer diameter, and the stretched length of the coil. Generic coils are often wound to approximate dimensions and may not hit the exact resistance your kiln was designed for. We verify ohms per foot for every element, confirm coil outer diameter against the groove dimensions of your specific kiln, and match the tail style (pigtail, stud, or flat tab) to your model. The result is a firing profile that matches the original — not a close approximation.

We back every coil with a direct replacement guarantee against manufacturing defects. Because we are the manufacturer — not a reseller — you deal with us directly, with no middleman. Normal element wear from regular firing cycles isn't covered, but any defect in winding, resistance, or materials will be made right at no cost to you.

Do you make elements for kilns not listed on your website?

Yes. The brands and models on our site are the most common requests but represent a small fraction of the kilns we've wound for. If your kiln isn't listed, reach out with the make, model, voltage, and — if you have it — the original resistance value. We'll confirm whether we can match it, usually the same day.
