The Skutt KM-822 is an 8-sided studio kiln — 18″ across and a tall 22″ deep, about 3.2 cubic feet — rated to Cone 10. It fires on five elements: two in the top and bottom and three in the center to keep the taller chamber even. We rewind the full set of five to Skutt's factory resistance for 240V or 208V.

Why does it use three center elements?
The 822’s extra depth uses an additional center element so heat stays even from top to bottom.
Can you wind for 208V?
Yes. A 208V set uses different resistance to reach the same wattage — tell us your supply.
